Hello NG,

I have HTC touch with WM6 and Excel mobile 2007. This leads to files with
the extension .xlsx, whitch are not converted during the Syncronisation.
The Conversion to Excel 97-2003 is activated.
Can someone help me? I have build up 2 sheets with my mobile, that took me
a lot of time and I have to be able to access them.

Thanks

Dirk

Dirk,

Are the files opening on your PC at all or are they full of jiberish? Are
you using ActiveSync/WMDC to synchronize your files?

I know, basic questions, but I need to get a full idea of what you are
really seeing.

I'm surprised the 'save as' doesn't allow you to do that conversion. You can
give this a shot. In the excell file list that you get when you close an
excell file the bottom right button shows menu, and there are Options.
Within the options, you can select the default Template for new workbook as
Blank 97-2003 Workbook. Open up you xlsx file and select Menu>Edit>select
all, then Menu> copy. Then close you file (you get the file list) and
select new (left soft key). This should open a blank xls now. Do a menu
(right soft key) and paste. Hopefully this will transfer all you stuff into
a new 97-2003 file. Shouldn't have done any harm to the originals either.

Hello Sven,

I've done so an the result ist unfortunately like this:
PKbV??¤[Content_Types].xmlí?KKÃ@?ÏO. Maybe it's not possible to
send this, but it is, what Clinton called jiberish, I think. Do you have
an idea, what I could do?

Yours

Dirk

Looks like Raj helped you out. That's great. I had tried my suggestion on a
simple spreadsheet, and it seemed OK. You likely had something a bit more
complex. Still think not providing the 97-2003 option in 'save as' was a
real oversight.
