Since installing the SP2 I constantly get a small dialog box asking me if I
want to allow or block cookies and I sometimes have to click it 5 or 6
times. How can I stop this security alert dialog box from popping up.
Please....

You must have a "prompt" option somewhere.
look in internet options\privacy\advanced

From Internet Explorer select:

Tools
Internet Options
Privacy
Advanced

.... and set/tick the following.

Override automatic cookie handling.

Tick either
Accept, Block, or Prompt First Party Cookies. (your choice here, but I'd say
it will currently be set to prompt, which is why you'd be getting pop ups
about cookies)

Tick
Always Allow Session Cookies. These [should] get deleted automatically after
you leave the website that generates them.

Tick
Block Third Party Cookies. You can Allow or Prompt for these cookies if you
want, but blocking them is a good option to use here.

Thanks for your help, I'll try it. So many changes have happened to my
computer since installing the SP2. Do know why I am getting a "Verisign
Cancelled" page when I try to go to a site I have used for a very long time?
Sorry to impose...

Cookie management has been part of IE prior to SP2 and XP. Your SP2 install
probably changed your original settings, rather than installed something
new...

No. It possibly may be because IE prompting you to accept or block verisign
cookies, and if you block them the Verisign website is cancelling your
request to view the website.
Some webmasters do design their websites to refuse access if you dont accept
the cookies the website generates....

As to asking for help here, this is what the newsgroup is for, so feel free
to ask whenever you want. Someone will be able to answer your questions and
help.
That's how we all learn how to use our computers.

Thanks again for the help. Could I send you a screenshot of the page I am
getting that is stopping me from viewing the site in question?
