Hello,

It seems that ever since I installed SP1, I lose all my cookies when I
reboot my computer. I DON'T want that to happen. Does anyone know how to
"fix" this problem? Thanks!

Bob

I might have found the problem. I think it was Windows Defender that was
deleting the cookies. I stopped the automatic scans, and I seem to be okay
now. If anyone could confirm or challenge this conclusion, feel free to
chime in! Thanks!

Is it just your Vista I.E Cookies that are Deleted? or your whole I.E
Cache. Check I.E Options.
Check no I.E Cleanup Program like e.g Tracks Eraser is Deleting them.
Or your AntiVirus/Firewall program such as ZoneAlarm.
It should not really be doing this, mine does not anyway.
You have a Cookies and Cookies Low Folder. Is it just Deleting the Cookies
Low Folder? or all.
If you want to view Cookie Code and save your Cookies, Download my Program
at jjryansoftware.co.uk, it's FreeWare, Needs a Default C:\Drive install.

I don't have any I.E. Cleanup Program installed. Although I do use Norton
Internet Security 2007. I think Norton is the culprit. Maybe a recent update
changed how that program handles cookies or tracking cookies. There was an
option in Norton to check tracking cookies. I unchecked that box, and so far
everything is working okay.

Unfortunately, I couldn't locate the cookies on my C:\ drive. I searched for
"cookies" and discovered a folder under
Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roa ming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies,
but the folder was empty. I know I have cookies on my system right now, as
I'm logged in to many websites at the moment. Can you tell me where Vista
stores cookies? I know in Windows XP they were simply in the Temporary
Internet Files folder. It doesn't really matter, as I think (or hope) I
solved the problem <g>. Thanks!
