Copied all files using vista easy tranfer

Hi,

I transfered my files of my home premium vista laptop as it just would not load up. Put it on a usb stick and now i have formated the hard drive and re-installed vista home premium when i try to put the files back onto the laptop it reads then just as it's about to tranfer the files it tells the files are corrupt and cannot continue.

I have all my picture on these files and really want to get them back.

Any ideas or help would be most welcome
