I copied an important section of text from something I was writing
Then, in a *remarkably *stupid move, got distracted and copied somethin
else. I'd already saved and closed the first document. Is there any wa
to retrieve the first section of text I copied? I haven't yet turned of
my computer, and am going to leave it on until I hear from someone;
don't know if that helps. Running Office 2007 on Vista. Please, i
anyone could help me I would be so grateful, I'm desperate...

Thank you

Hi,

Probably not. Once the clipboard is overwritten with new data the old is
lost. If you still had the document open, you could probably have done an
edit/undo a few times to retrieve it, but not once you've saved and closed
it.

Your only chance might be if there is a still a temp file of the original
(uses the same name of the original with a $ sign preceeding it, and should
be in the same directory as the original) that did not get erased when you
closed it.
