Copying files to the computer and then burning them to disc

Hello,

I am sure this is really simple to do, but I am a newbie and an answer to
this question would be appreciated.

I have a laptop with a DVD drive. I want to put the files of one of my
existing CD albums onto my PC so I can then copy those files to a blank
disc, but I want to put other items on the blank disc as well, to fill up
the space on it.

Can anybody tell me the simplest way to go about this please?

Brenda

It doesn't clear up the confusion but thanks for the attempt.
It isn't wise nor netiquette to allow free reign to one and all
on your computer.
Windows has built in tools so as to filter what others can do
on your computer, to limit access and to prevent someone
installing/uninstalling/corrupting etc etc.
It is very unwise to allow others use of your accounts.
You maybe based in the London area?
You appear to run Vista and use Windows Live Mail, both have the
facility to create user accounts, you all will have your own
settings and privacy is assured. You as owner have administration
rights and thus full control.

Good luck

My sister uses my computer from time to time, very rarely but I let her. I
have also borrowed her computer on occasions when I had problems with mine.

I have given her permission to use my newsgroups and ask a question she
wanted answering, which you have now kindly done.

She signed the post with her own name, but mine is the default name because
I own the computer. That is why my name is shown at the header and her name
she signed herself.

Confusion cleared up! Surely you must get that.

She is my sister, not some unknown hacker I have lent the computer to. She
wanted to ask a question in the newsgroup and I let her. It is hardly a
prison offence, is it now.

Thanks for the rest of your advice, it is noted.

So which is it? Nobby or Panzy?
