Copying Music to Device

My Windows Media Player version is 9.00.00.3354 and my Windows system is a
"Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack for 2"and I want
to download music to a Sansa SanDisk MP3 Player, but it isn't allowing me to
select it as an optional device. How can I make it so that I can select my
SanDisk to copy music to from my Windows Media Player?
