Hello,
I have encounter the following problem.
I have 4.5 GB file siting in Vista drive (NTSF) which I want to copy to
external 14 GB hard drive which has FAT 32.
Vista refuses copying that file saying that the destination is too small.

FAT 32 only supports a file size max of 4 GBs.

You will need to convert the drive to NTSF.

You can't do that. FAT32 does not support files over 4gig, and that's one
of the reasons it's being abandoned.

You won't be able to do this with the filesystems as they are.
You'll have convert that drive to NTFS to copy the file to it.

If you persist on staying with FAT32, then maybe you should find a way to
compress your file(s), into split archives, using WinRar, or a similar
program. I really have no further knowlege about how this is done, but I
hope I gave a moderately good idea with my post to someone who can help you!
Good Luck!

Or lower the file size by dividing the file into parts or burn to data DVDs
which can be made to do the same thing.
