We are setting up mandatory profiles for all of our users. All staffers
will use their own copy of the same profile, and will grab same from our
server. We created this standard profile on a local XP box by means of a
user account that we created as a template, and then copied it up to the
server. We intend on copying this "template profile" for all other new
users.
The question is what is the easiest way of setting up the NTFS security
settings for the folders and files in these profile copies? When Windows XP
creates a user profile for a new user, it sets up some unique NTFS security
settings. There seems like there has to be a better way than creating the
new user in Act Dir Users and Comps, mapping the user profile there to the
server, having the new user log in (and therefore creating the new profile
on the server), and then copying our template into those folders.
Thanks
