Tried all I know to get core temp to run at start-up but it always has to be
manually started and permission granted - a tiny but maddening thing. Who
out there knows the answer? (no sarcastic replies from Trolls please)
TIA

Get a Vista-compatible version of the software. The one you have now isn't
and that's why it needs permission to start up.

I think there's something odd about the program, as I can get it to run at system start up
but it's missing it's GUI. To get it to run I created a task with highest privileges and
set it to run at every boot.
The program loads and runs ok, with no UAC messages; it's listed as a running process in
Task Manager but there is no box on the desktop and no icons in the system tray.
The only way to get the current version to run properly at start-up is to turn UAC off.
As has been said, it needs to be re-coded for Vista.

Try here:'ALCPU Forums • View topic - CoreTemp - Startup wit
Vista x64 and UAC - Solution
(http://www.alcpu.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=503
Use version 0.99.5. Core temp is finicky. Sometimes I will boot m
computer and Coretemp is right where it belongs in
the tray. Other time after booting Coretemp is running in Task Manage
but the GUI is not in the tray. I then have to kill the process in Tas
Manager and restart the program manually
