Microsoft has always had nothing if not contempt for its users and the
structure of Vista (no comments on the quality of its programming) aptly
reflects this corporate philosophy,
Since Win 95 Windows has graciously destroyed your stored documents if you
reinstall the OS in the same partition. For unsophisticated users, those
without 7 Microsoft IT certificates, grappling with still frequent system
meltdowns this continues as a nasty surprise with Vista.
Want to dual boot? Vista will thoughtfully destroy your system restore
points as your reward for using XP, thereby demonstrating just how "safe"
Vista is and "unsafe" XP.
Want to share anything other than "Public" folders on the network: learn the
unintuitive and poorly documented permissions tree of Vista. Pray that the
permissions settings are retained the next time you boot your computer.
Naively think that the "My Documents" etc paradigm forced on users since Win
95 will continue? Nope, arbitrarily changed with no explanation.
Let us not discuss the Ribbon of Abomination in Office . . . so usable that
after two years it still takes me several minutes to find common settings
that were simply listed in a hierarchical menu previously (and in every
other Windows based program--in fact, until the RoA, Microsoft publicly
dissed any program that did not follow the hierarchical menu structure).
And now we have Vista SP3 for which Microsoft plans to charge "new" OS
prices. Microsoft is getting a free ride on this in the computer press but
in actual use Win7 is a gobbler, as in turkey, extra-ordinaire.
Microsoft knows that the future is in the clouds and the OS is rapidly
becoming less relevant than the browser yet still they persevere. One
definition of insanity is repeating the same act over and over again in the
hopes of getting a different result. Like Republicans and tax cuts . . .

So Microsoft has destroyed your documents since Windows 95? Are you that
stupid? You keep using their products and don't back up your documents
offline? Each OS you use, you do the same thing? Didn't you learn? I
guess not. If their OS's are way over your head, you should migrate to
Ubuntu where you will get nothing done.

Check with Alias our resident Ubuntu retard and he will help you out.

Again, simple networking is beyond your comprehension. Better stick with
Ubuntu in your case. That is your speed.

Wow - After two years of using the product, you still have trouble trying to
figure out where things are? No wonder you haven't figured out how to save
your documents and work with data after 15 years of Windows products since
Windows 95. Some people are just slow but you take the cake. Thanks for
confirming that information.
