First, this is a Media Center forum, you will probably get more/better help
in an XP general newsgroup.
However, some points to clarify (or to explain in another forum):
Why can't you get into safe mode?
If the PC is now running XP, why are you trying to use the W2K disk?
If you now have a working XP load, why not just use that and get rid of the
old one?
