Corrupt Local GPO DB

I have a server which apparently has a corrupt Local GPO database.
According to the information I have been able to find, the only way to
fix this is to recreate the database. To do this, I would need to
follow the instructions I found on Microsoft's support site at
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/278316/

My concern is that my server is Windows 2003R2 and the instructions
specifically reference Windows 2000 Server. I tried to follow
instructions on another page related to troubleshooting 1202 errors
and those instructions specifically referenced Windows 2000 as well
and the commands that page said to use did not work for Windows
2003R2. I would like assurances that the commands at the above
referenced page *will* work for Windows 2003R2 and NOT leave my system
in an unusable state.

Thanks!
