Corrupt System files on Windows Vista

How do you fix corrupt system files in windows vista? I have windows vista
home premium service pack 2. 32 bit system. Duel core Intel processor T6400
@ 2.0 Ghz times 2. Memory(RAM) is 4.0 GB I ran the sfc /scannow utility and
it looks like its windows update thats screwing me over!! If this don't
beat all, when I DO get help getting this fix on my laptop, I'll have to post
again for my desktop as well!! OMG!! BUT, I'll focus on this one for
now.... I was going to post my CBS file but it must be to big because it
locks and closes internet explorer everytime! Soo..... I'll post a peice of
it and hope you guys can get the jist of it and tell me how to fix it!!
