Corrupted or missing files in downloaded updates

Is there a way to force a downloaded update to re-download again & not use
the download that is currently download.
Any help in where the files are downloaded to & if I can delete them to
force another download of the patch.

Delete the contents of the Download folder
Click Start. Choose Run.
In the Run box, type %windir%\SoftwareDistribution
Click OK.
Open the Download folder.
Delete all contents of the Download folder.
Close the window.

To get Windows Update to re-offer updates:-

Click Start, select Run and then type in: wuauclt.exe /detectnow
