costum emotes are very small

i just got windows live recently, and tried to create my own emotes, but when
i do they show up very very tiny..to where you cant make them out. i know
its not the pictures...cause i even tried expanding the pictures and they
still show up microscopic....is there any thing i can do???

The emoticons will be resized to 19x19 if they're static images. However, you can go all the
way up to 50x50 if you make them animated GIFs first before adding them.

how do i change it from a compuserve gif to an animated gif?
