Could not start the BITS service

This may save some time if you have the problem I had. I could not run auto
update or download updates because the BITS service was not running. What I
didn't notice is that the path specified for the BITS service was corrupt -
probably caused by a virus or spyware program. Instead of
%SystemRoot%\System32 etc. I had %S|stemRoot%\System32\svchost.exe -k
netsvcs. It actually had a chinese character that looked a bit like a y.
If you are receiving error code 2 becasue it cannot find the file then check
this out.
