Could not Update!

This may help someone.
I have windows XP sp2. When I went to windows update I got the site but
that is all. It did nothing - didn't even scan for updates.
I went to this web site http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/updtcl.htm and
performed number 13 (second part) from the list. It worked like a charm.
I hope this will be of help to others.
