I cannot update my pc I get the error message 0x8002801d. It seems I all of
the sudden cannot update anything.

Steve,try it now.It is up and running for Windows XP Home Edition.My ISP is
Earthlink DSL,FYI.If no luck,try running the Windows Malicious Tool Removal
Tool.I assume you have all the necessary firewalls,security & anti-spyware
software installed and running properly.

I just tried it again and I have xp pro and it still wont work. It keeps
trying to install a dll and one an active x control but I go to install it
and it installs or at least it says it is and then comes up with the same
problem. Is Microsoft having problems with there site? Yes I have all the
firewalls and norton corprate edition running.

If that doesn't work do a search at the general microsoft websits front page
with
"Mailious Windows Tool Removal Tool" phrase in the search.
