I was wondering if i should be concerned about the sp2 ordeal. I have sp1
winxp home, right now. Does this sp2 even apply to me? I have been having
major update problems since this whole new ordeal. I can download by going to
the site but not with auto update. It won't detect sp2 but if it's not for
basic home users then I won't worry about it. Thanks to whomever answers
this.

Turn auto-update ON, you can set it to the default "download
& install" or customize the settings. SP2 is for XP Home
and Pro, but MS is managing (limiting) the number of
computers that can download to prevent servers crashing. It
just became available to XP Home users, XP Pro is due to
start in about a week.

An order form for the SP2 CD should be available soon also.

Thanks Jim. My auto update won't work. It just freezes up. Microsoft support
has been working with me on it but so far noone can figure it out. I hand
registered all my files and everything. I can download and update from the
site now but that is it. Thanks for the other info since I was more confused
about who it was for. Thanks, Paul
