Crackling and Skips on Burned CD (WMP12)

I'm using WMP12 on 7 and the CDs I've burned have a crackling noise in the
background of the majority of tracks and skip on others. I burned the exact
same CD using Itunes and it was perfectly fine, so I know my drive works.
I'd prefer to use WMP. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!
