Hello.

I have following issue:
When I try to use something from Contacts -> Filter Contacts in my Windows
Live Messenger 8.0.0812.00, it crashes. I'm using Windows XP Professional
with SP2 and latest updates. Description for event ID not found... a bug?

Greetings,

Sure looks that way. My guess is its probably one of your contacts with an odd e-mail
address, display name or other contact details. I can't really think of any workarounds
although be sure you've tried to reboot and if possible, try on another PC if you have access
to one.

There is no crashing for anyone in my organisation when using these options
and I doubt several versions of Windows Live Messenger would be released with
this problem if it were present for everyone. So unless you have given the
poster a copy of this beta version, I don't see how you can proclaim it to be
fixed.
