Hi varadarcop,

Do you see the screen where has an option of restoring your computer
before it try to boot into window? If you choose that option it will
restore you computer to original state as when you first purchased the
computer.

Another is try to boot it into safe mode and restore the computer to
the previous save points where the computer was working properly.

Third, first you may boot up the computer with the restore CD comes
with the computer. If not working, try with Vista OS DVD and repair
buy restore.

Finally, clean reinstall Vista.

Please don't be discouraged with computer problems; instead, learn how
to fix it. Computer is getting more complicated; therefore, all
regardless what brand including self-built has problem. Be patient and
things would work out. Best luck.

Hope this helps.

Bruce

0xC000021A: STATUS_SYSTEM_PROCESS_TERMINATED
This occurs when Windows switches into kernel mode and a user-mode subsystem, such
as Winlogon or the Client Server Runtime Subsystem (CSRSS), is compromised. Security
can no longer be guaranteed. Because Win XP can’t run without Winlogon or CSRSS,
this is one of the few situations where the failure of a user-mode service can cause
the system to stop responding. This Stop message also can occur as a result of
malware infestation or when the computer is restarted after a system administrator
has modified permissions so that the SYSTEM account no longer has adequate
permissions to access system files and folders.

b.. Internet Explorer Maintenance Policies May Cause an Access Violation in

That is not exactly the *first* choice, since it wipes out everything
that has been done on the computer from the day it was new.

It is a *last resort*.

Okay, good tips except...

I tried clicking on "Repair this Computer" only to get the BS of Death
and nearly every time it gives me a different error code. Sometime
it's c000021a, sometimes it's c000012f, sometimes it's kernel32.dll no
found

I tried starting in Safe Mode. It will NOT start. Nope. Not at all.
It crashes, reboots and eventually gives me BSOD again

I ran diagnostics, after hitting F8 menu... in the initial list, i
gives me the error code 2000-0142, then later the 2000-0146 codes in th
Hard Drive

Note: I have not dropped this computer. It was working fine one day
dead the next. And yes, This is the *third* Dell that I've had majo
problems with. When I had a Gateway, not a single problem

Oh, and I just tried tearing the house apart for the stupid Vist
rescue disc,....can't find it!!! GRRR

Hi Varadarcop

I see your frustration, but you must find the Vista rescure disc or an
os disc, Vista or xp, to see if you'll be able to recover or reinstal
before declaring that the HDD is shot.

You may replace the HDD to see if it works. If not, it might have bee
bad connections due to broken solder joints which you can hang it up an
look for another. Sorry to scare you

Well, let's hope the problem is a simple one that someone may have som
better ideas.

Good luck

Bruc

The above two paragraphs make me thing your hardware is failing -
mostly the randomness of it. RAM. motherboard, drive, something.

The nice thing is that I'm not an expert, so maybe I'm wrong...

I have a habit of putting things like that in a place where I can't
possibly forget. Then I forget. It frustrates me enormously - I hope
you can track the disk down.

But in your situation, once I found the CDs or DVDs, I would get a new
hard drive and restore the system to that one, then try to save the
useful data off of your old drive...

First option to try is to boot using Last Known Good Configuration from the
boot options in this type of situation.

It doesn't matter what brand you buy, it's a factor of OS, third party
software, hardware and user. It's amazing how well a computer will run
without a user mucking it up.
