Crash on restart - no error msg

I tried to install the August updates. When my computer tried to restart, I
got a blue screen with some information on it, but the screen closed so fast
that I couldn't read it. I tried to restart again, went to Safe Mode, and had
to use System Restore to disregard the updates.

What's going on and how can I fix this? Thanks.

You could try what I decided to do this month, on others suggestions, if you
have a CD burner.
I downloaded each update from their respective MS location i.e. ignored the
usual WU bunch, apart from noting the KB numbers for the offered updates.
I then put them on CD one at a time - installed one at a time and rebooted
after each.
They have all loaded in Add/Remove - but will not appear in WU History,
though have not checked there yet.
Good luck - if you should choose this method.
