Create an additional email in live.com

I browsed the message board and saw many posts on this subject (ie Pippa) but
I still don't get it. When I go the page to get a new id it just goes to my
profile page and I don't see where I can create an additional live.com
account.
My original email address is also a live.com address is that the problem? Is
it I can't have two live.com email address even though they are with two
different names?

If you profile is loading then you are logged on with the Live ID.
Close Hotmail, IE, and any other Live application running(WLMail/Messenger/PhotoGallery etc)

To create a new Live ID(after closing per above)
- Open IE
- Enter the following url in the IE address bar
https://signup.live.com/signup.aspx
- follow the instructions
