Create a new restore point

How does one create a new restore point in both Vista and Win7? When I go
to Accessories-->System Tools-->Restore all I get is how to restore from a
previous one. That's not what I want. I want to create a restore point.

Click "Computer" in start menu then the "system properties" tab at
the left middle and then "system protection" on the next screen left
side, and then finally "create" at the bottom. If anyone knows a quicker
way let me know.

On my Vista 64 box System Properties (Windows Key + Pause/Break) -> System
Protection Tab has a Create Restore Selection.

press win key - type 'create a restore point' - follow from there.
