Hi NG,

I want to create my own packages. I downloaded several update files. I found
articles how to create a batch file for the HOTFIXES. It is working well,
but what can I do with the other updates, e.g. for the IE.
All hotfixes: Windows2000--kbxxxxxx-x86-ENU.exe ae possible to start with a
batch, but what can I do with the rest?

I started the files in the DOS mode with "/?" to get all the possibilties to
start the Update, but it didn't work. For the HOTFIXES you can use "/Z /M"
and all hotfixes will be installed.

Are there any articles for the other updates? Or is it necessary to install
them extra by hand (klicking next, mark not to restart the pc, ....)?

Thanks in advance
Dirk

Hi

MDAC and IE updates are packaged with IExpress, for those type of
jobs you need to use additional command line switches to the ones
that shows up with /?. More here:

Don't create your own - go to www.autopatcher.com and get the one they have
already put together.
