What created the Vista problem in the first place?

Is there anyone delusional enough to still believe Vista is not a
problematic product?
I hope not.

I think the reason why Vista is like it is (crap), is because of 3 things.

1) lack of orginazation in Microsoft. Remember they started with a different
plan making longhorn,
then shifted course and started working on a different plan throwing much of
the work they had done away.
2) Lack of care and actually listening to the feedback and requests from the
people.
Everything about vista clearly shows that the developers ( I mainly mean the
people in charge of the planing, not the simple code writers) closed their
ears to what people wanted
and went ahead and danced to their own drumbeat making so many mistakes its
incredible.
3) The final blow was the CLASH between the buisniness people and the
develppers.
The developers knew Vista was not ready, not only vista was not ready but
the "partners" who created drivers didnt have the guidence from MS fast
enough to create the "ecology" for a new strangely made OS like Vista.

Call me delusional I guess, and happily so. I like Vista and have had
no problems with it. If you let it run the way it is installed on decent
hardware,
there are no problems. If you start tinkering with it and install things
that
may not be compatible (without checking on how to install them in Vista - my
Quickbooks 2005 works perfectly though I admit having to change a lot of
file
permissions and "run as administrator" to do so - steps I easily found by
googling),
you will have problems.

Is Vista perfect? No, no windows os has ever been perfect (I've always been
against how much hard drive space and ram it needs just to let you run other
programs. My old Amiga was faster than windows 3.1 and it would run off a
floppy disk!), but it isn't the end of the world, a conspiracy, or many of
the
other crazy things you and others have accused it of.

We get the fact you don't like Vista - so go back to XP and the XP forums
and leave those of us who are liking it and running it just fine be happy.

So, essentially, the complaint is that Vista really is what it was
advertised to be... a *different* Windows, unlike XP and earlier versions,
rebuilt from the kernel up. Of course, if XP drivers and software worked the
same as it did in XP, then the complaint would have been that Vista is just
another upgrade of the same old tired Windows OS. :-p

I think that should have focus more on the things that matters most to the
user
better GUI, more user friendly functions, more options, easier, faster,
better....

Sure changing stuff around may be important and fun to the developers.. but
the
final user does not care about all this... he she wants something that
works.

Why did they change the whole sound layer? Why didn't they make an extra
fall back mode for the
Graphics that would support the classic type of acceleration like XP had,
rather they pulled that out completely
leaving horrible performance when using classic theme?

The changes Vista did do in the gui were all unfortunate. Mistake after
mistake after mistake!
This GUI seems it was make by monkeys! I cant express how bad it is..

As Mc Coy said on Star Trek the Motion Picture... "I know engineers they
LOVE to change things."

To sum it up In vista they changed things they shouldn't have, they didn't
change things they should have
and the things they changed are a disaster!
