Creating meeting requests of PDA meetings

Hi there,

We have problems creating meeting requests of PDA appointments. Our PDA runs
Pocket PC v4.20.0 (build 14053).

1. We create an appointment in pocket outlook (English)
on our pda. Not yet a meeting request.
2. Synchronize with active sync 3.8 (English) into
outlook 2003 (Dutch).
3. In outlook 2003 open the appointment and invite others.

At that point the request should be sent to the persons
invited. But it hangs in the outbox and is not being send.
We keep getting 0x800CCC13 errors when
Outlook tries to Send/Receive until we remove the item in Outlook.
We have this problem on several PC and PDA combinations.
I already posted this problem in the Microsft partner newsgroups for Outlook
and the Dutch public Outlook newsgroup, but they suggested this newsgroup.

Hope anybody can figure this out.

Hi Fred,

Not certain about the solution but any chance you have any anti-virus
running that scans mails?

Hi Raj,

Thanks for your reply. We do use Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition
(client version 9.0.0.338). We also used Symantec Antivirus 2004 (the retail
version) on some other PC's which have the same problem.

I disabled it right away, but the problem stays. I still got 0x800CCC13
errors when I try to send a new meeting request.

I had hoped someone could reproduce the problem.
Maybe it is because of the Dutch version of Outlook 2003 we use?
It is a pitty there is no dutch version of Pocket PC. ;-)

Hi Fred,

While inviting an attendee, under Tools uncheck "Send as iCalendar' and then
attempt to send. This might help solve your problem. Let me know the
result.

Hi Fred,

Great !! Glad to know that information helped you. Could you try the
following:

- Invite an attendee and then try forwarding the meeting request as an
iCalendar file.

> Am I loosing compatability when unchecking the iCalendar thing?

Sorry, but I didn't understand this question.
