After reading other problems, I looked in my WLM and I don't see any way I
can create a Message Rule for incoming emails. How am I supposed to do this?

Tools - Message Rules . . . . if you don't see the Menu bar (which contains
"Tools"), click on the Menu icon (right side of window next to the ? icon)
and select "Show Menu Bar" (to show it permanently).

I have my Gmail accounts set in WLM, I have gone to the Message Rues and set
them up just like I did before in OE, and they all worked just fine, now I
have set Message Rules within WLM, fact is I have six set right now and NOT a
one of them work, and can not for the life of me figure out why, must be
missing something that is not making them work?

Local message rules only work for POP accounts.
If your Gmail is configured for IMAP, only server-based filters work.

I have WLM, MOST everthing goes to the WLM main account, most will go to the
respected Gmail (POP) account, but the rules set in place pertaining to that
folder will NOT direct the mail to say Ebinfl/Inbox/Win 7 News - message rule
is set and in place to direct the mail to go "Win 7 News" -
Rules say
Apply this rule after message arrives
Where the From line contains "Win 7 News"
Move it to the Win 7 News folder

Never had a problem before in OE setting rules and them working, even had
all mail from friends going right to their own folder, it is just not
happening here and have no idea why - My POP gmail accounts are all sending
and receiving mail ok, just that I can not seem to reroute it with the
Message Rules?

Also like in the WLM my main account, I can and did set a folder for Friends
Mail, but do not have the option to set sub folders like Live/Friends
Mail/Mike/Don/Albert - and set Message Rules to redirect incoming mail to got
to Live/Friends Mail/Don.

Sure their is an answer, but just not seeing it - Thanks

You generally want the Stop Processing More Rules option checked on
message rules. The exception would be where you want to copy a message
to 2 folders.

Also look at the Message Source (Ctrl-F3) for a sample message. Make
sure that the From header contains the exact characters you are looking
for. Upper/Lower case doesn't matter.

Thank you for this one!
I've been looking *everywhere* for message rules, and couldn't find anywhere
to create them.
The help file was -- of course -- most unhelpful lol.

Use of "Stop Processing More Rules" causes a message meeting that rule's
conditions to be processed by that rule and none further. If you don't use
the "SPMR" the message is subject to all of the following rules and will
ONLY be dumped into the folder for the LAST rule whose conditions it meets
(it will NOT dump into multiple folders based on meeting the conditions of
multiple rules).

Mike - I have set rules before in OE always worked, but now you say the "Stop
Processing More Rules" should be checked, I can not find this option in the
Message Rulles box, am I looking in all the wrong places? OE was so easy to
use and set up, I am finding this WLM to be a bit of a challange to do the
simplist of things
Thanks for your help
Ed
