Thank you for continuing to help me resolve this issue.
I added the site to trusted sites in IE, but continue to get a request for
user name/password and it continues to reject the credentials with "You are
not authorized to view this page You do not have permission to view this
directory or page using the credentials that you supplied." [the credentials
I am using are currect. I know I followed your instructions in the link you
provided in an earlier post.]
Here is another bit of information. In IIS under Web Sites Right Click >
Browse on the original companyweb folder I can see the existing intranet site
without providing any additional credentials. [I can see other existing
sites when I do this.] If I do this for the new companyweb1 folder I am
asked for user name/password.
As a test, I have added other sites per your instructions, but with the same
results. It has to be something minor.
