I have a Compaq Laptop and I am wantint To Know if there is a way of
creating my own recovery disks I use Bart PE for the process however I am
unsure how to create a recovery disk that needs to be spread over 4 DVDs

The data size is a wopping 11GB. I have used Drive XML to create the set and
bart pe to create a bootable Recovery disk, since I have never encountered a
data size of 11gb, I am unsure how to proceed.

Any advice would be great.

Thankyou in advance

Which Vista edition is this? If you have Vista Business or Ultimate
installed, you can simply create a Complete PC Backup which is much better
than a recovery disk.

As for the Recovery disk feature itself, thats coming in Windows Vista SP1,
check out this tutorial by Long Zheng of istartedsomething.com:

Its not really the answer you were looking for, but just an alternative that
might come in handy.

You should have a "hidden" recovery files partition to make a Recovery disk
in case of system failure, or a OEM Vista DVD from the manufacturer. They
HAVE to give you one or the other.

Hi Ben. First you should tell us a bit more about your machine. Does
it have a DVD burner? If it is running the factory install then it
should have come with some method of creating restore discs. You also
could just call the OEM and order restore discs for a minimal fee most
likely.
