Creative Game Port Update Deselect Problem

I have Windows Vista set up to automatically install updates, which it
normally does before it shuts down. Normally, I just put my computer in the
Sleep mode, which I prefer. The update process has worked fine except for
one driver for the Creative game port. In the Windows update menu there is
one item named "Creative driver for Creative Game Port", which is a
Recommended update. So I selected it. However, Windows is unable to install
it. So, everytime I want to put my computer into the Sleep mode, windows
tries to install the driver, is unable to and then shuts down, which then
forces me to then have to reboot my computer.

The annoyance is there doesn't appear to be a way to permanently unselect
the installation of this driver once it has been selected. That is, if I
deselect the driver, the only option is to Cancel. So, if I bring the update
menu up again, the driver is still selected. Anyone know how to work around
this problem? Thanks in advance.

Hi There,

Try system restorein safe mode and go back to a date before the problem
occured.

It is strongly advised not to take any drivers from MS update unless the
hardaware is made by MS, if not and if your hardware is NOT working well
than download the appropiate driver at the manufacturers website.

Best regards,
