critical downloads

I get a message purporting to be from Sygate telling me that I have critical
update file wucrtupd.exe and sometimes wuloader.exe and wanting to access the
net
I am wary of this as it is not the usual in the usual form in the bottom
right hand corner but a large window in the centre of the screen
Is this a genuine message?

wucrtupd.exe can be a virus, ran a virus scan? but may also be a genuine
file that has been hacked

Not found on virus scan I Have AVG , AdAware and Sygate firewall
