Attempted to install KB912919 today., received error code 0x8007FODA, did
"find" all files, etc., found the item, clicked open and received message
that Windows could not open a ?pnu file. I did not write down the extension.
My thinking is that if Windows can't open a file from Microsoft download, why
keep it? I deleted it, emptied the recycle bin and made two more attempts.
So, I now have three unsuccessful attempts to install a "critical" update.
Why can't I do this? Incidentally this is a new computer.
