Okay My pc got stuck in a constant reboot after doing the critical updates on
my system after I reloaded Windows XP Pro Service pack 2. What i did was
first off make sure you have all your drivers updated which i did before and
it was still causing problems but every system is different.

1.) Run Regedit
2.) Right Click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE go to permissions
3.) Remove The restricted user from there
4.) make sure adminstrator and SYSTEM has full access to it.
5.) click Apply then OK
6.) Disable automatic updates.
7.) Run windows UPdates from their website.
8.) Select Custom
9.) uncheck all of the updates
10.) Select only 2 updates at a time.
11.) Reboot
Repeat Steps 7 threw 11 Reboot even if it dosen't prompt you. This is VERY
IMPORTANT.

12.) Turn automatic updates back on

You can safely do this at this point i think it had to do with the fact
there where so many updates that it screwed up. Its been running fine since
and the updates are working just fine also.

And i'm not sure if the Adminstrator or System had all the control it was
sposed to have when it was blowing up. But its all fixed now

Why did you need to "reload" WinXP SP2?
