We need to migrate user and computer accounts from one forest to another.
Existing forest is oldcompany.com and the accounts are located in
userdomain.oldcompany.com. The new forest will be a single domain forest
called newcompany.com. Userdomain.oldcompany.com is a W2k3 domain running at
Windows 2000 native level and newcompany.com domain will be at Windows 2008
ADDS running at W2K3 native mode.

Once we migrate the user and computer accounts, will we have to make any
changes on the computers so that they can login into the new domain?

The oldcompany.com domain has an existing DNS zone for newcompany.com and
they will need to maintain that zone during migration to keep services up
and running. Will that have an impact on the migration plan since both
domains will have a zone for newcompany.com with different IP's?
