I've been reading about crss.exe, and I don't know what to believe. It states if crss.exe is in \Windows\System32 folder, it's okay, but anywhere else it's a virus. I have crss.exe in \Wndows\winsxs. I have two processes running currently, but I don't know from what folder. From task manager, if I right click for properties nothing comes up. If I right click other SYSTEM processes for their properties, a properties window appeaers.
Here's an explorer search of crss.exe (attached).
I'm paranoid, because one time I downloaded a utility, ran it, and it turned out to be a virus/trojan. The virus mainly redirected any clicks that I did from a google search page. But, I don't know what else it left. I spent money to get a Norton's security expert remove the virus and fix any of the problems, they did a decent job,but I still found virus on my computer, namely, the b.exe virus/trojan which I had to remvoe myself.
Anyways, when I fire up my browser, and type in a link for the very first time, I notice that the browser pauses briefly and then continues as normal. It use to not do that.
Anyways, thanks for your time.
