We have a .NET app that was logging the following error this morning
when trying to communicate with one of our partners:
System.Net.WebException: The underlying connection was closed: Could
not establish trust relationship with remote server.
For roughly the same duration (about 4 hours this morning from 4 am
Central to 8 am Central), I see crypt32 logging the following three
errors every so often. I'm trying to understand if the crypt32 errors
were what caused the other SSL errors in our application (and why/what
it was doing), or whether this was just a co-incidence. Both problems
go away about the same time (within the same half hour or so). Any
insight would be appreciated.
