Sano,
Somewhere in the back of my mind can recall that there was an issue with
certain versions of DivX that conflicted with SP2. If SP2 is installed,
try running the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove all
installer configuration info from the failed DivX install.

Then run Torgeir's .bat file once more. Restart the system and go back
to WU to see if Cryptographic Services stays running.
I tend to believe that the attempted DivX installation is what has
caused this issue. You may need to run sfc /scannow to repair OS files
at this point :
