cumulative security update for Outlook Express 6 service pack1 KB8

Every couple of days I get a notice to update this file. I do and have and
it shows successful. Why does it keep popping up to install?

If the first install was not quite correct it will continue to be offered
and subsequent installations don't fix the problem. Try removing the update
using Add/Remove Programs and then reinstall.

I have the same problem and the update is not listed in ADD/REMOVE Programs
so I can't try removing it

i have the same problem as fdnydave on two different pc's running Windows 98
with two different security updates. The Installation History indicates that
i have successfully installed it seven times ???

I'm having exactly the same problem, no way to uninstall, and it has
installed many times successfully according to my history. I have problems
with both the Outlook Express service pack and a Windows patch, but that
could be all the fault of the Outlook Express pack.
Oh, and by the way, why does the "Request Tech Support" link on the help and
support page for Update lead to a dead link? Maybe it's just for me today,
but seems a bit FUBAR if you ask me.
