The most fundamental part of an operating system is to control i/o.
Unfortunately, Vista has problems doing this type of very fundamental task.
Vista is buggy and seriously buggy when it comes to moving data around, be
it over a network or to USB drives. I wouldn't trust using Vista for any
serious computing requirements. You should wait until Microsoft can patch
the damn thing to the point that you can trust it to not corrupt your data.
It might be a long wait.
