Vista Home Premium...

Is there any way to create ones own theme for things such as the colour of
added links bars to the desktop? I would like to have the links bar the
same colour as the taskbar (black).

TIA for any help.

Ed

Have you tried changing the colors etc to how you like them and then
saving the theme under a name you choose?

Yes, Gene. I've tried various themes but can't find any way to change an
individual characteristic such as the taskbar. At the moment I have the
Windows Colour set to Graphite and the Theme to Windows Vista. It looks
great - to me - but the links bar added to the left of the desktop looks
awful in grey. It's this Links bar that I want to change to black, or
graphite.

OK - I wasn't sure that you had tried that.

I thought I recalled I had done what you said below in some earlier
version of Windows, and that it might have propagated into Vista.

Sorry that I was wrong.

As you can tell, I don't usually change themes...

Thanks anyway, Gene. Any input is better than none!

Regards,

Ed
