Is it possible in Vista to customize the power button ( both the one on the
start menu and the one on the pc ) to logoff instead of shutdown or sleep or
hibernate? ( I cannot find the option to customize its action as logoff )

Maybe it would be helpful to tell these novices where in the Power Options.

Click on the "change plan settings" under your checked plan.
Then click on "change advanced power settings".
Then expand your choices buy clicking on the + signs in front of the system changes.
When you get to the colored words for the current settings, right mouse click for options.

I thought i was enough clear.
In power option you can only choose the action you want the Start menu power
button to do between "sleep", "hibernate" or "shutdown" but you have not the
option to choose "LOGOFF"

You cannot customize the power button on the PC to logoff.

You have already received all you need to know about the Start button.

Hi Michele,

You might try a free tweaking app. called Tweak VI. It can create a
Logoff shortcut on your desktop and lots of other tweaks. You could then
delete any other shortcuts you don't want and uninstall the program. My
guess is you'll like a lot of the things it can do.

'Totalidea Software :: TweakVI Compare Editions :: Tweak Windows Vista
- Vista Tweaks - TweakVI - Tweak-VI - Tweak-Vista - TweakVista - TweakXP
- Tweak-XP - Tweak XP - TweakUI - Outlook Backup - Outlook Notes -
FireTune' (http://www.totalidea.com/tweakvi-compare.php)
