Customizing Contacts

Is there a way to customize the available fields? For example i have contacts
that have 2 office phone numbers, but in the fields there is only one.

Some may say that you can write them in the same field and seperate them by
komma but this causes problems when synchronizing with other devices, i.e.
mobile phones.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
