Customizing Folders

I have been customizing the views of my folders that its become an annoyance.
First, I change a folder view/template to "all items" because I have no
interest in the other ones, especially music folders template. At anytime I
can go back to that folder and its back to the music template, so I fix it
over and over.

Is there a way I can make ALL folders on my system to "all items" and not
even have the other annoying templates there? Even if I could make my choice
STICK forever would be fine.

The folders act that way because they are designated as 'shell' folders. You
can remove that designation by removing the shell entries from the registry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Shell

Hi microsvc have a look at the tutorial 'Here'

especially the bit about turning off vista's auto type discovery for
template, and the reg downloads work
