CXT Modem Software Update released on Sept 08, 2003 (for
conexant 56k ACLink modem) is listed as a critical update
for XP Pro. During installation it disconnects my modem.
After this happens, I am no longer able to reconnect to
the internet through my modem because the system no longer
recognizes it. I have to restore my system to before
trying to install this update in order to connect to the
internet. Is there a different update that has to be
installed prior to this one or is there just a major
problem with this update? Any ideas?
