Thanks for this information.
I did check that my system was ready for SP2 and all the rest of the stuff I
had to do.
Hoever i have managed to fix most of the problems by being brave and going
into my registry.
I found that the relevant HelpCtr.exe, msconfig.exe, files had been changed
to default locations where the files did not work. i manually changed the
defaults back to their original locations and they now work.
Still have not solved the control panel problem yet but will get there. Nedd
to work out what exe file runs control panel
