Hello Everyone,
I am having a very strange issue and am hoping someone has seen this before:
I have a win 2k3 ENT sp1 64bit cluster with an EMC back end. Each node has
mulitple HBA's, multiple paths to the back end.
It appears that 2 of my drives at the device level have swapped.
ex: drive T contains sql log A = EMC device 123
drive N contains sql log B = EMC device 456
I'm not sure if it was during a reboot or when/where it happend, but now the
configuration is
drive T contains sql log A = EMC device 456
drive N contains sql log B = EMC device 123
SQL didn't complain because the drive letters and associated data remained
the same, but this played havoc on our replication - which is how we
discovered the issue.
I find it highly unlikely that a DBA would have changed the drive letter and
swapped the data in Windows. Unfortunately the logs don't show anything.
That is why I am suspecting that it is possibly the cluster sw?
Sorry if the explanation is confusing...
Thanks in advance!!!!
