Does Windows live mail have the 2GB data file limitation that OE had or has
it been improved? Did some Googling but can't locate an answer.

Do you truly expect to send a file over 2 GB? Most internet connections are
too slow to support such a massive amount of data. Also, most email servers
have a size limit that is much smaller than 2 GB so if Windows Mail does or
does not have a size limit, it would be irrelevant. I tried to look at the
Tech-N-Go's help but the web site has a security problem so I did not look
at the Tngmail.tech-n-go.com page.

The "Internet Message Format" might specify a maximum size for messages; it
is the standard definition of email messages. The standard is at:

http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2822.txt?number=2822

I don't see a GB size specified there but it might be in a standard for
attachments, such as perhaps MIME attachments. You can find all the
standards in ietf.org. They are called Request for Comments (RFCs) but the
approved ones are the standards; that is how the internet works. There are
other ways to look at RFCs, such as at rfc-ref.org.

WLM doesn't use .dbx files, if that's what you're referring to. It saves
messages as individual .eml files, so there's no limit (except for disk
space).

The group for WLM is
microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop

Nothing to do with attachments, nor did I mention attachments, I'm talking
the OE data files, that would be the dbx files for each directory you have
in OE, they have a 2GB file size limit, when that limit is reached OE
crashes or hangs at startup. This has nothing to do with Tech-N-Go or our
exchange server, can't imagine why you'd think it would.

Okay, sorry about that but your message was vague. I assumed you meant
individual messages, and attachments relevant to individual messages. So the
reason the Tech-N-Go server could be relevant is if it has a size limit for
messages, since as I said, I assume you were asking about individual
messages.

If you go to TechNet and search for 2gb file, as in:
http://www.bing.com/search?q=2gb+fil...t=11&FORM=PORE

There are some relevant articles, including:

No. That only applied to OE dbx files. Those are no longer used.
